Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

We were passing through and found this restaurant on Yelp. Our party had the Almond Cashew Stir Fry with chicken, the Sage Butter Chicken and a pizza. The food was served quickly and was fresh and excellent. We also had apple pie and French Silk pie. Dessert was good, but did not measure up to the entrees. The service was very friendly and responsive. We were there early, so there were no crowds. The atmosphere was quiet. The decor was a bit plain - some may consider it dated. The pricing was reasonable. Overall we considered it a very good meal.

We were staying at the hotel next door so tried the restaurant, and we were very happy with our dinner. The bar and restaurant was busy on a Saturday night but we were served immediately. Friendly waitstaff. Menu consists of a varied selection from salads to burgers to pizza, but they expand on the basics with stirfry which I enjoyed. Very flavorful and fresh, a pleasant surprise. Started with the beer cheese soup which was also quite flavorful. Not a wasted meal!

Went on a Saturday evening and the place was almost empty. It had a weird smell and it was like stepping back to the 1980's. There was food splattered on the wall by our table. The salad was from a bag. The prime rib tasted like a freezer. I saw the waitress carrying a tray of food on her shoulder and her hair was in the food. Fortunately it wasn't our food. I wanted to leave as soon as I walked into this place. Trust your instincts.

Used to have a bad opinion of this place but recently started going there again and have been pleasantly surprised. Good has been very good and the service had improved. They could be alittle quicker but compared to before much improved. Will definitely go back.

Great for kids best bloody marys. Great atmosphere for friends. A lot of people stay in hotel so it usally has a crowd of people.

We stayed at the adjoining hotel so thought we would try out the restaurant. The food was good. Started off with some cheese curds that were awesome! Had a chicken sand which that was very good. The prices were pretty decent but the best part was the service. We had a very friendly waitress that treated us great! It was because of her that we ended up going back the next night. We asked for her section the next night and she treated us great again! Awesome service at this restaurant.

Very friendly staff. We had a 1 yr old with us and the waitress made us feel very special. Deep fried cheese curds were yummy to start our meal off, we then had chicken dumpling soup which our baby loved, the my wife got the chicken and ribs meal - that's a lot of food! And I had the fish n chips. Had some beer here which was light and refreshing. We had a great time here and would def come back again!

Sat at bar, took 5 minutes to get waited on Should've left, but figured try them again. Food was good. But again took over 5 minutes to get bill. Only 3 other customers at bar but 2 bartenders couldn't handle "all of us". What a joke

Came to the hotel for business and was impressed with the food. I ordered the beer cheese soup wich was surprisingly delicious. I followed that up with chicken stirfry wich was executed perfectly, the chicken was tender and juicy while the vegetables were still a little crisp. I will definitely return.

Great pitstop for us while driving from Wausau to Minneapolis. Homemade soups and dressings were delicious! Kim was a stellar waitress!

Attached to the Avalon hotel, the Bridgewater Restaurant & Pub, could easily be dismissed as just another hotel bar that lacks flavor and personality. However, I would encourage one not to lump it into just another forgetful bar... For the past 2 years, I have been a monthly regular of this place. (My unit typically puts our soldiers in the Avalon for Guard Drill). Thus, the bar has been woven into my collective experience as a member of the Wisconsin Army NG.... So perhaps I'm a bit romantic about the place? The bar itself is quite spacious, with plenty of tables, tvs, and bar stools to handle larger groups. Their bartenders are extremely pleasant and accomodating. The bar's menu, although typical pub food, is fantastic! I absolutely heart their cheese curds... To top it off, as mentioned, they have plenty of Leinies on tap to quench any type of beer quench one might have. Give this place a chance and I assure you that you will figure out why locals and out-of-towners, include it in their rounds of drinking and eating.

It is attached to the hotel, but it really isn't a hotel restaurant. Locals hang here, and after the dinner hour the bar remains well peopled. As noted by others, the menu is standard pub fare. Best feature, apart from the mellow but friendly bar attendants, is that there's every choice Leinies is offering on tap at the moment, at really low prices. Work your way through at $2.75 a pint. Then, you've still got the whole other side of the bar taps to work through. Yum!

We pretty much did the same thing and concur with Nicholas D's review. The dining room is a huge, dark, windowless space, the entire place was worn and empty with the faint odor of old tobacco. We thought the place was closed at first, it looked practically abandoned at 2 PM on a Saturday. HOWEVER, the food is just fine greasy pub junk I won't be telling my cardiologist about, really tasty, plus they have lots of great beer. A special shout-out to the young guy serving us who was super friendly and spent a good deal of time (maybe too much!) telling this out-of-state couple where to go to see the sights, buy groceries, etc. So if you're out this way and looking for lunch, you could do worse.

We pulled off the highway around 5pm on a Thursday looking for dinner and chose this place based on Yelp reviews. It's in a nondescript building apparently attached to a hotel. Due to the utter lack of curb appeal and our concern over the "hotel restaurant" status we nearly turned away, but decided to take a closer look. Directly inside was a full bar, and Bridgewater's stock rose. Seated around the bar was a collection of old-timers looking lonely and bored. There were a few muted televisions showing ESPN, no music, and nearly all the tables in the various rooms were empty, and Bridgewater's stock declined. The place was clean and not too smoky. With no interesting alternatives, and miles to go before we slept, we unenthusiastically decided to stay. The menu was standard Wisconsin pub fare with a few inspired additions. The beer cheese soup was OUTSTANDING - best I've ever had by far. Entrees were excellent. Don't be turned off by appearances, the food is great. I'd definitely go again.

We were headed to the Leinenkugel brewery and needed some brunch before the tour began. Lucky to find this place reviewed and within minutes of the brewery. Out here almost every bar or restaurant serves Leinenkugel beer and it's dirt cheap. We sampled the brunch buffet on a Sunday morning, wasn't busy, I'm guessing everyone was still in church. Better for us. Our waitress was attentive and on the ball with coffee refills and filling side orders. The buffet line setup was like something you might see at a wedding reception, white linen tables and silver and gold buffet servers. Each server filled to the brim with freshly made breakfast items. One young kid standing off to the side making fresh omelette's (your way) and waffles. Some of the items I remember; grits, country style biscuits and meat gravy, bacon (soft n' tender and the crispy kind), pancakes, sausage and the works. Brunch was thoroughly enjoyed. There is also the option of a lunch / dinner buffet with the breakfast which included steak, etc but that was overkill. The way the buffet is setup is a bit confusing, so ask questions if you are unsure. The setting; if I remember correctly they are next door to a hotel. The inside is like a large full service bar and restaurant. Looks and feels more like a bar, although families were there during brunch. A definite good price and spend.

Good pizza. Great soup and onion rings. Really nice and attentive staff. Would come again. Nice bar area. Busy for a Wednesday night.

Excellent food, high quality ingredients and very clean. The staff is very polite and attentive. They have a wide variety of dishes and serve Leinenkugel's Beer, Sokup's meats and Olson's Ice Cream.....YUM & YUM. The bar apparently isn't a big secret anymore as it had a good crowd the last time I was there. Prices are very affordable. The Sunday brunch is awesome also!

We ate here because we stayed at the Avalon Hotel and had a "free" breakfast coupon (good only for 2 eggs and toast; otherwise you just received $2 off). We had to choose 2 different tables, as the first one was filthy, with the coffee cups having something in them. After waiting about 10 minutes we ordered. My friend said that she wanted the same thing as I got and ended up having to repeat the entire order again despite the waitress having written it not moments before. Overall, the place was dirty, the service was horrible, our food ended up taking a half hour to arrive and was very cold. No offers for beverage refills was made, no one asked how our food was or if we needed anything, and waited another 20 minutes just for the check. Meanwhile, I went to track down a manager to deal with the situation. Mike (the manager) ended up giving us breakfast for free but I would never eat here again, even if it was free. Stay far, far away.
